GA Foam Sealing Package
At Georgia Foam Solutions we take pride in our work. To this end we utilize the GA Foam sealing package to ensure that the job you receive does what we say it will because in all honesty, the job is only as good as the technicians who are putting it in. When we come to your home or business we do not just show up and begin spraying our products. At Georgia Foam Solutions, we do the following:
First, we will review the building structure to identify air infiltration points and to prep for access those areas typically not reachable (an example of this can sometimes be found where two walls meet. On occasion, builders will leave a void in the corner that can allow air to transit from the outside directly to the inside, bypassing the insulation in the wall cavities).

We will also begin prepping for our primary spraying by sealing all cracks and joints around windows, doors, and sill plates with low expansion foam and caulk; |
![]() |
We will prep all windows, doors or other valuable items by covering them with plastic and tape to ensure that they are not damaged by overspray; |

When the installation is complete, we will remove all debris as well as plastic and tape from windows, doors and valuables leaving the site cleaner than when we arrived. |
Polyurethane Spray Foam
What is Spray Foam Insulation?
Georgia Foam Solutions uses the latest in polyurethane spray foam products. The polyurethane is a spray-applied insulating foam plastic that is installed as a liquid and then expands to many times its original size. At Georgia Foam Solutions we offer both Closed-Cell and Open-Cell Polyurethane Spray Foams with which to insulate your home.
Closed-Cell Polyurethane Spray Foam
| Closed-Cell Polyurethane Foam insulation is highly dense and when sprayed expands up to 30 times its original size producing an R-value per inch of 6.62. In Closed-Cell spray foam, Cells or bubbles in the foam are compacted together, are not broken and each is filled with an inert gas selected to make the insulation value of the foam as high as possible. An example of Closed-Cell foam insulation that we benefit from every day would be the insulation found in your refrigerator and freezer. | ![]() |
The advantages of Closed-Cell foam include its strength, higher R-value, and greater resistance to the leakage of air or water vapor making it ideal for windy, damp and water prone locations, such as coastal areas, below grade, crawlspaces, or for the whole house. For many of our clients, Closed-Cell foam is the product of choice. While more expensive than Open-Cell foam because of its density, at 1 inch thickness Closed-Cell foam develops the all important air barrier and at 2” a vapor barrier.

Open-Cell Polyurethane Spray Foam
![]() |
Open-Cell Polyurethane Spray Foam is soft – like a foam cushion in a pillow and is an excellent air and sound insulator. Unlike Closed-Cell foam, Open-Cell foam is less dense, with each Cell in the foam being broken, thus allowing air to fill all of the spaces in the material. Upon spraying Open-Cell foam expands up to 150 times its original size, thereby filling all nooks and crannies in the wall cavity. When spraying is complete, the excess foam is shaved off the studs, leaving a flat surface over which dry wall or other material can be applied. With an R-value of either 3.8 for the .5lb foam or 5.0 for the 1.0 lb foam, you receive and air barrier at 5″ inches of thickness. |
Uses for Open-Cell include spraying directly to all walls of a house, and as sound proofing for media rooms. Open-Cell foam may also be direct sprayed to roof decks.

Cellulose Wall Spray
| Georgia Foam Solutions can install the latest in Cellulose Wall Spray insulation in your new home’s walls. Cellulose Wall Spray is comprised of standard blown-in Cellulose and a small amount of water. When mixed during the spraying process the Cellulose Wall Spray becomes sticky allowing it to fill wall voids completely in a way almost like spray Polyurethane foam but at a cheaper cost than foam insulation. At an R-value of 3.8 per inch @ 3.5″ when applied in your walls, Cellulose Wall Spray insulation is an economic way to reduce your homes heating and cooling loss. Studies of actual buildings regularly show that Cellulose-insulated homes may use 20% to 40% less energy than buildings with fiberglass, even if the R-value of the insulation in the walls and ceilings is identical. One reason for this is the capacity of Cellulose Wall Spray to reduce air infiltration and heat-zapping convective air currents within your walls, which are inherent with most fiberglass insulation. |

For our Cellulose Wall Spray applications, Georgia Foam Solutions uses the latest in Cellulose from Cell Pak. Cell Pak’s Advantage product is a high quality cellulosic insulation used in new construction or retrofit markets. Advantage is designed to be blown with moisture added into for wall insulation. Advantage contains a combination of boric acid and ammonium sulfate as the fire retardant and passes both critical radiant flux and smoldering combustion tests. Advantage meets the requirements of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC), 16CFR1209, 1404 and ASTM C739. Advantage is a Class 1 or Class A building material based on tests according to ASTM E84.
Dense-Pak Cellulose
![]() |
Georgia Foam Solutions uses the term “Dense-Pack” to refer to when we install Cellulose at densities approaching 4.0 lbs./ft3. Depending on the installation approach used, typical Cellulose has a density of between 1.5 lbs./ft3. and 3.0 lbs./ft3. Dense-Pack Cellulose insulation is used in the retrofit market where it is installed by removing pieces of siding or roofing from poorly insulated or older homes. Holes are strategically drilled horizontally across the structural surface of the home so that the holes are centered in each framing cavity. Insulation is then blown via a hose into the holes filling the cavity. |
Georgia Foam Solutions uses the latest in Cellulose from Cell Pak for our Dense-Pack jobs. Cell Pak’s Advantage product is a high quality cellulosic insulation used in new construction or retrofit markets. Advantage is designed to be blown dry into structural cavities.
Blown-In Cellulose
| Georgia Foam Solutions can install the latest in Blown-In Cellulose insulation in your existing or new home. At an R-value of 3.7 per inch @ 4″, Blown-In Cellulose insulation is an economic way to reduce your heating and cooling loss in your attic. Studies of actual buildings regularly show that Cellulose-insulated homes may use 20% to 40% less energy than buildings with fiberglass, even if the R-value of the insulation in your attic is identical. One reason for this is the capacity of Blown-In Cellulose to reduce air infiltration and heat-zapping convective air currents within your attic, which are inherent with most fiberglass insulation. |

Energy Audits
A Georgia Foam Solutions Energy Audit is the first step in tracking your home’s energy use. We perform audits in existing homes as well as for clients who would like it conducted as part of a home inspection prior to making that all important purchase. Each audit is performed by the use of the latest in blower door testing and thermal imaging technology to identify where insulation and moisture issues exist within the building structure. GA Foam Solutions will guide you through the process during the audit, pointing out your homes deficiencies. Following the audit we will provide you with a clear path for you to follow to increase your homes energy efficiency. Correcting the deficiencies that we identify could lower your energy costs, increase the comfort in your home, and reduce your carbon footprint in the environment.
Blower Door Test
| The standard blower door test is a depressurization test and is done by placing a high speed fan unit in the frame of an exterior door and sucking the air out of the house so as to create a negative pressure in the building. From the air passing through the fan, our BPI inspectors are able to calculate the number of times per hour all the air in your house is changed out, thus allowing us to quantify your homes air leakage. | ![]() |
Thermal Imaging

Thermal Imaging uses the latest in Infrared camera technology to pinpoint energy loss locations non-invasively so you can instantly see where your problems lie. Thermal imaging inspections are used as part of Georgia Foam Solutions Energy Audit or can be purchased separately. If you are looking at moving into a new home, our infrared inspection is a valuable tool in the home inspection process. We can see hidden problems your new home may have such as poorly insulated walls, unsealed windows, and water damage, giving you the knowledge you need to make a wise investment. |
